Another similarity between the two plans is the level of deceitfulness in both. The plans trick and to some degree even lie about what is really happening in the situation. In Romeo and Juliet, the plan leads to the characters' deaths and to their marriage in Much Ado About Nothing. In Much Ado About Nothing, the plan is much less risky than the plan in R&J. The plan was made to deal with a wedding of some sort, whether it was the Epic Fail wedding, or the secret wedding, it still involved a wedding of some sort. In both stories, they people getting married ended up together somehow, even if they both died or lived, they were still together in spirit. The only difference would be that one couple died and the other didn't. Good connection Maddie...thank goodness this is finally over because I can't afford to fail anymore blogs!!!! But in each case it is different. In Romeo and Juliet it is to make Juliet free to be with Romeo. Yet in this play it is to make Claudio feel bad.
