I think that Demitrius may have loved her, but I agree that he is too shallow. He would love her in his deffinition of love, not her’s. The potion had a huge affect on Demetirus and he only loved her for that reason.

I can see where you think that they might have never met. I don’t really agree with you that people with the same personalities don’t get along. I have many friends that act the same and are close to the same personality as me. If you look up on urbandictionary.com, there is such a thing called a ‘dudevorce.’ This is where teo friends break up over a girl. This is a connection I made to the question. They would not get along because the girl got between them. No one can say for sure if they would have been friends; my guess would be no.

I agree with Brandona and Jenny. They may have acted the same way, but I cannot say for sure. If you hang out with someone long enough, you want to be like that person. Possibly, this could happen.

I agree with Jenny. I do not like Helena’s character. She is naive and can get played like Brandon said. She overthinks situations and makes things the way she wants them to be. ‘Everyone is in love with me’

I agree with Jenni that Demetrius is probably too shallow to love anyone for who they are. He probably would even get sick of Hermia, because she wouldn’t remain beautiful forever. The potion has to be the only thing that makes him feel that way.

Again, I must agree with Jenni, that they probably would not have met. But, because Helena and Hermia are friends, it makes sense that they might become friends as a result. But, they are very different. Lysander actually seemed to care about Hermia, where Demetrius probably thought she was just hot.

For your question about Hermia, it seems difficult to tell. I really can’t answer with certainty. She might act the same way, but you can’t be sure.

I think that Helena is a naive character. She probably thinks of Hermia like that because Demetrius used to like her, but then Demetrius likes Hermia. Helena is a strange character.

For your first question, I think that Demitrius might have come to love Helena on his own if there were no other women in his life. The guy seems too shallow to like someone for who they are, rather than what they look like. He also seems to have only been effected by the love potion. When he discribed his feelings, he made me believe (for some odd reason) that he was quite literally talking of sickness if he didn’t feel his affections for Helena. Just my opinions, no one must agree with me!

I have a feeling that if Hermia had not been there, the boys would have never met. Anyway, their personalities seem to be the same, making me think that they would not get along. People who are too much alike seem to hate each other; has anyone else ever noticed?

Hermia might have acted in the same way if she was placed in the exact same position as Helena had been in. She has hung out long enough with Helena that some of the other’s personality and character have rubbed off on one another.

Helena should not have discribed Hermia like that; she immidiatly assumed most of it and she became defensive way too soon. She should have given Hermia more than one chance. As of the end of the story, I do not really like Helena’s character. She bugs me.
