House of Sand and Fog Summarizer Final Post!
So, when Les takes Behrani and his son Esmail to go to the county office to turn the house back over to Kathy, Esmail gets shot by two police officers when they do not continue to move along the sidewalk to the building and Esmail turns Les’ gun on him. The two police officers at the scene think that it was Behrani that was the instegator. So, they arrest Behrani but take Les with them too because they know who he is. Les goes to the police station and they ask him to explain what happend, and he tells them the whole truth about imprisoning the family in their house and threatening them.
Behrani finally gets to go to the hospital to see his son to find out from the doctor that Esmail has died. Behrani is so upset, that when he arrives back at his house, he strangles Kathy in an attempt to kill her. Then he goes into his bedroom where his wife is laying, and strangles her too. He quickly writes a note to his daughter and places it on the refrigerator. His last act is to kill himself by suffocation.
Les goes to jail in Redwood City and is in Protective Custody. He misses his family and wonder what has happened to Kathy. Kathy wakes up to find herself in the hospital. A police officer comes in and tells her she is under arrest for Aggravated Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, and Brandishing a weapon. She has them call Connie Walsh for her since she cannot speak because of Behrani strangling her. Connie comes and tells her all that had happened to Les and the Behrani family. Kathy is then sent to jail.
I have one question, why would Kathy be charged on these accounts even though Les was the one who has committed these crimes?

Commissary-(n.) a term used for a deputy.
Protective Custody-(n.) detention of someone by the police as protection agaisnt a possible attack or reprisal by someone.
FTO- stands for ‘Field Training Officer.’

I asked just about this same question in my post and personally I don’t think it was fair for her to be charged. I think the reason she was is because she was with Lester when he did all this so she is sort of like an accomplice. She never tried to stop him and she went along with what he was doing.

I don’t think Brittany did because I can’t find it either and Henry didn’t post… again.
I agree with you Kortney that it is not fair that Kathy is charged with these crimes. I also agree with your reasoning that she was an accomplice because she never tried to stop him or call the police. But, I think she might get out of jail soon after her trial because she actually never did any of those things.
