Kathy and Lester move out into a cabin in the woods that is owned by a friend of Lester’s. Lester goes to Behrani’s house one night and poses as a cop that is questioning the owner of the house to try and scare them to give the house back to the county so Kathy can have her house back. After one day that Lester goes to his wife to settle things with her, he has yet to come back to the cabin. Once again, Kathy has been left by someone. She leaves the cabin and decides to go and talk to Behrani’s wife when he is not home. She talks to his wife and she is compassionate about Kathy’s situation.

Behrani goes to a lawyer and they tell him that there is nothing that Kathy can do to get her house back. He continues to work on selling the house and goes to the police station to ask about the cop who came to his house the one night. When he comes home, he finds his wife talking to Kathy. He approaches them and grabs Kathy by the shoulders, causing bruises to develope on his arms later. He tell her to never come back to this house again and tells her he knows about how she had a friend come and pose as a cop.

Kathy leaves and drives around thinking. She starts drinking a lot again which was her addiction before the story began. She finally can’t take all her problems anymore so she finds Lester’s gun that he left in her car, and she tries to shoot herself.

Behrani comes out of the house to see Kathy’s car parked there. So, he goes over to it and opens the door. He finds Kathy crying and trying to shoot herself but it is not working because the safety feature is in place. Behrani takes the gun out of her hands and leads her into his house. He takes her into his sons bedroom and leaves her there to sleep. Behrani now feels pity and compassion for Kathy and her problems.

The words I chose this week are the, a, an, is, and of because they are key to every sentence structure!

Just kidding!

So, the actual words are:

bungalow- a small house with only one story. This is important because Behrani calls the house a bungalow with is also a term from where he comes from for a type of housing.  

virgin drink- a beverage that does not have achohol in it as it usually does. This is significant because Kathy goes to different places to drink because she is depressed and after a while, she should have order drinks without the achohol in them, but doesn’t.
