Colin Easter

For the first question, the Time Traveller would be telling the truth about his experience. After all, this is a science-fiction book. Those kinds of books present a "what if" scenario and try to describe what they think would happen. Time travel would be the "what if" in this book. The beginning of the book shows the thoughts behind the book in a sense. The characters discuss the different aspects of time travel and have their own thoughts. This is much like the author thinking about time travel when writing the book.

I think that the others don't trust the Time Traveller because he has already tricked them before. On page 10, the Medical Man says, "Or is this a trick-like that ghost you showed us last Christmas?" Therefore, they already have reason to think that this is a trick, given the Time Traveller's past history. With that said, they didn't completely distrust him as well.

The first question I am quite positive with my answer. I do not believe he is a magician, but a true time traveler. He seems way too intelligent of a man to waste his mind on magic. Also, I have seen magicians make things disappear, but never in the way as the time traveler does. Magicians usually have things disappear instantly, but his slowly fade into nothing. I do not possibly see anyway that this is possible.

I partially agree with Taran's response for the second question. I also think that the people don't trust him, because he is too intelligent and too perfect, but I think it is more the intelligence. I believe that this is so because the other people may think that he just knows something that they don't, allowing them to pull the wool over their eyes. This is understandable because they feel that they are of less ability or under the time traveler. This difference between people causes them not to trust him.

P.S. remember to bring costumes, scripts, props, etc. on Monday!

To answer your first question I thik he is a genious and it is not rubbish. To answer your first real question I do not think he is just a magician I think he is the real deal. There is no way you can make a chair just disapear like the way he did. He is too wise about the future to be faking it. He has to be the real deal.

I think they do not trust him because he is too intelegent. He does everything perectly with no error or hesitation. This would draw into people's minds that it is too well prepaired like a show or play. Plays are not real life so they would think that he is not doing what is really him. He may be doing what is an act to them. So no I do not think that they do not trust him is because people who relate to others are more easily trusted. I think it is because he is too perfect that he seems fake.
