Anil’s Ghost Character Watcher Post 1
Let me start by saying, that I am doing this Blog in Keyboarding class because I do not have the time to do it at Home. Mr. Shank, seriously. We all loved to blog on Saturday morning. When Blogs were due on Saturday, it was like a party that never ended. Tonight I have Lax till 7, then I am going to a Lock-In at Adam’s church until Saturday. It would have been a much more efficient use of time to have the Blogs due on Saturday.
Anyway, Anil’s(lol) Ghost is a pretty good book. I have to admit, I was a little sceptical at first, because we chose the book for the sole purpose of Anil sounding like Anal. Despit the resemblance, the book is pretty good. We see the world through Anil’s eyes. She is 33 years old, and is a native Sri Lankian. Despite this, she prefers the Western style of living. She enjoys Forensic Science, and is called by the Geneva Human Rights comitte to investigate a series of killings in Sri Lanka. After arriving in Sri Lanka, she is immediately thrust into a world of violence and death. We see how she reacts to the uncertainty throughout the first part of the book. She can trust noone, and feels alone. We see that the violence in Sri Lanka threatens everyone, and leaves nobody alone. Anil is continually put into dangerous situations. We will see how she continues to react in the rest of the book.
My question is do do you think anything will happen between Anil and Sarath? Is Sarath Married? Why did he lie to Anil?

Well, I think that Anil and Sarath will get together later on in the book because they seem to really like eachother. I think Sarath might be married but it’s kind of hard to tell. However, I think that Sarath lied to her because maybe he doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with her yet since they have not been acquainted very long. I don’t think it was the right choice for him to lie to her because that make him seem like a dependable person. But who do you know that doesn’t tell a lie every once in a while?

I would have to agree with Laurissa in saying that Sarath and Anil will get together later in the book. They seem to have a connection even know Anil is suspicious of him, especially since Anil might have already gotten naked in front of Sarath. Although she believed that was a dream i dont it was.
Then I would like to inform you that Sarath is married. He lied to Anil and told her that he wasnt married. But when she went to his house his servant told her that Sarath’s wife stops by on occasion. He probably lied to Anil because he wanted to impress Anil, or maybe because he wasnt happy with his current wife.
Why do you think Anil didnt say anything to Sarath when she saw him last?

I think Sarath will end up being a spy or something like that for the government and Anil will be in big trouble. I don’t trust this Sarath guy at all and Anil is smart for not trusting him either.
Sarath is married but he told Anil that she died. Maybe he didn’t want to discuss his personal life so quickly after they met so he told her that she had died. Or, maybe he wanted to get with Anil so he told her that she was available. Haha. That’s unlikely. But, something is fishy with him and I don’t like him one bit.

I was thinking that Sarath had lied to Anil because he is sneaky, like Mallory said. I don’t like Sarath, his name even sounds distasteful. I think that Anil might fall for Sarath however, because of all the crazy things that are going on. I think she will be distracted, and fall in love with him.
