John has no reason to risk his life for Blevins, but him doing it is what makes him a good person. I think he did it partly because he was simply looking for adventure. If i were in that position, i would like to think that i would try to save it. It's a hard thing to say when you aren't there, though. I could not just let Blevins to fend for himself, because he would never make it. I think that stealing the horse back would be the right thing to do, maybe a little fun to. The question is, will this decision turn out to be a bad one for the three? -Ditz That is a good question. Although it may not have originally belonged to him, Blevins is the horses owner and those thieves had no right in stealing it. But I do agree with Kody. The boys shouldn't have split up. I, for example, would probably not have chosen to leave America in the first place because i am a different person than John Grady in the book. My answer is also a little biased, however, because i know that today Mexico is definitely not the best place to be.
