I agree that the connection can be seen throughout the the book and definatly relates!

For the first question about which connection relates most, I would have to say the connection between and honest word/but that was when I ruled the world, because it shows the cause of the mob and fighting going on in France. They hate how they were promised something that the king knew that he could not keep. They are then mad, and the king probably knew that the promises would not be kept. I wonder though did the people really buy the promise or are they just setlling for an answer in a time of panic?

Another connection that I saw, was about the point in the song that says "I know saint peter won't call my name." I think that this would relate to the King knowing that he was wrong to lie to the people and knows now that no hevanly person will want anything to do with him. I know that this was not mentioned in the book about the King feeling bad, but one could hope that he would afer what he had done!

The song definately does seem to relate to religion. It keeps reffering to religious symbols and I think that can relate well to the text because one of the reasons for the revolution that is happening in France, is religion.
